Meadowlark Music Festival

Last night we went to see the Boston Brass concert at James Arthur Vinyard - packed a picnic, sat in the 100 degree weather(whew), drank yummy local wines & listened to a superb concert.

It was part of this year's Meadowlark Music Festival. Our friend Ann Chang Barnes is the Founder & Artistic Director of this gem of a summer music festival. If you have been to any of the concerts, do yourself a favor & get down to Kimball Hall tonight (unless you're going to see Rimpoche which to me trumps even good music!) and catch the last concert of the 2006 festival. Or just watch the media next year and mark your calenders. Maybe next year the NE zaadsters could go together?

You are almost making me miss those midwestern summer festivals….. almost. ;) Looked like a wonderful time; very pretty setting. Was it humid as well? That is very hot for back in those parts.
I need to make it back soon….

…. with family in Yankton, SD and now a huge case of the guilts…. ;)
Di ~ It was hot, humid, no breeze and at sundown the birds and cicadas added their riffs to the Boston Brass. It was fabulous! I drank 1/2 a bottle of wine, 2 diet Sprites and a liter of water and was still thirsty….they have a theme picnic competition & some folks go all out, costumes etc.

Costumes? Hopefully on the lighter side of dressing up. :)
Okay, I need to go back for River Boat Days…. and it is all your fault. ;)
